SNL walks down the Runway

This is my laugh of the day thanks to Miss Merritt over at Trebek. And probably only funny to those who watched Project Runway this season, a show I got overly obsessed about.

Local makes Prison Break

Considering the show films here that may not be a big triumph, but I know this actor. Marco is part of Martice Enterprises who bring the funnies with their Latino comedies and so much more. I only wish a Latinologues revival was on the horizon. Their version was legend!

Anyway, they send word to watch Prison Break tonight. So do it.

PBNew Marco Appears in Fox’s Show PRISON BREAK

Watch Tonight 2/11 AND 2/18

Marco’s appearance in Fox’s show Prison Break could actually be tonight, Monday February 11 or next Monday, February 18th. So… just go ahead and watch both episodes…

You don’t want to miss Marco on Prison Break!

Jeff Brady = not a tool

Maybe tool is harsh but for whatever reason, I could never warm up to the guy when he anchors the Channel 8 news at 5. He’s good yeah but something about him comes off somewhat ersatz in the newscast that I end up losing my attention to what’s going on. I either change the channel (sorry Jeff) or turn it off (sorry WFAA).

But after watching his video blog today, I now have a new opinion. He was a lot more relatable and warmer than I have ever seen the guy before. He even comes off like a really sweet and friendly guy, which he very well may be. Go figure that three minutes or so about today’s Iowa caucus (and thank you, Mr. Brady, for boiling all that down for me) on a webcam, could change an entire person’s perspective.

Yay Jeff Brady.

Hits!

On the other hand, John McCaa is still John McCaa in both the anchor chair and the desk chair. I love me some McCaa, though. I think he is friggin’ awesome with his stoic serious nature and cool calm voice but what cracks me up is how he SO misuses the word “I” in his vid when he should be saying “me”.

As in, McCaa, yer killing ME!

Misses.

Holidaze Recovery

Too much TV.

As stressed out as I was this dang holiday season, I somehow also spent a lot of time decompressing in front of the television. And these are my thoughts that if I don’t get outta my head, my brain will turn to mush. So, thanks for indulging me as I get these out:

  • First and foremost, television marathons are the best. I’m so caught up on The Twilight Zone. Thank you, Sci-Fi Channel.
  • How is it the NFL channel has the hardest way to tell which quarter of the game it is?
  • Scott Baio might just officially be a loser.
  • I really want a GT Express 101.
  • Is there that much golf happening for this to be necessary?
  • There is no better drama on tv than Project Runway and America’s Next Top Model.
  • I’m in love with this Matt from Operacio Repo.
  • I DON’T love New York.
  • At first, Joel McHale isn’t that funny. Now, he’s hilarious.
  • Any countdown VH1 or E! does is so worth watching…provided you have a few hours to waste.
  • Channel 13/PBS has some pretty decent concerts late on Sunday nights.
  • I’m debating ordering this if I can really get away with the $9.95 trial fee, rip it and send it back.

Whew! OK, feeling a little filtered and better. Thanks.

Dang TV Show

How does this Dancing with the Stars work? Here I was thinking Mark Cuban was gonna busta move last night and I find out it’s just chicks dancing. But The Mavericks were quick to point out that it’s tonight and are rallying around their owner to pump up some votes. I can’t believe I might actually call into a show to vote. Although, I must admit, I never did it for Emmitt. Oops. My bad, Mr. Smith. Good thing you won. Now, here’s to the Cube following in the same footsteps.

Come on Cube. Mavs GOTTA win something!

Cuban Cuts One

…a rug actually.

Anybody see tonight’s premiere of Dancing with the Stars? I missed it. Well, I actually don’t watch it but Cutey Cuban might quench my Mavs thirst until the season starts.

However, if he’s looking anything like this, I imagine a quick vote off.

Aww man…

Came across this from Britain’s Got Talent by accident and now I’m completely breathtaken. Stories like this are sappy but I’m a sucker for the underdog who knocks it out of the park. Bravo. Hate that the cheesy Aerosmith song pops up toward the end. And then there was the comment that this wasn’t real. Eh. I’ll maintain that it is.

Jimmy Kimmel connects to Dallas

At least for tonight. Just got this from the owner of CD Source, probably the most awesome of used and new CD stores in town. They were there for me as I mourned the loss of Tower Records. Anyway, plan for some late night television tonight. Read on:

Brently Heilbron, who is my first cousin and godson, will be appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight. Jimmy Kimmel comes on at 11:35 on Channel 8 (ABC). Brently is the son of Chuck, the assistant manager at CD Source. We are also selling Brently’s debut CD at CD Source!

Lance
owner- CD Source

Now that’s big time. Can’t say I’ve ever heard the name Brently before but sounds like a lot more people are going to hear it after tonight.
