Love? Say it ain’t so, Romo

Pressed for time so here’s the pasted article from the National Ledger:

Jessica Simpson & Tony Romo Get Some Dallas Love

Sorry Dallas Cowboys fans, your star quarterback definitely has not dumped the woman that many have dubbed as a “jinx”.  Despite published reports that Tony Romo, 27, split or was getting ready to dump Jessica Simpson, also 27, an insider tells Life & Style, “They’re more in love than ever.”

The article then lays out this scenario.  In mid-January, the couple met for a cozy dinner at Del Frisco at the Galleria in Dallas.  “They dined in a secluded part of our dining room,” Del Frisco manager John Eastwood tells L&S.  “We wanted to make sure they were left alone.  But when they got up to leave, people noticed them – and they got a standing ovation!”

***

Wow - that must have been some sight, people got up from their dinners to cheer on Tony Romo after his second straight playoff loss and his girlfriend that many blame?  The manager tells the magazine that “Tony shook a few hands and signed some autographs.  They really seemed to enjoy it.”

This much is certain, Jess and Tony who started dating in November, are going strong, contrary to reports that they recently called it quits.

Matchmaker Matchmaker

So this really narrows it down to finding that one perfect hetero match…just be sure you fit the bill. I’m so fascinated by speed dating and I’d totally try it - that is if I wasn’t scared $h!tless about dating. Kudos to First Move Dallas for getting in on the action and even finding and catering to a niche market. They are doing some of the work already by getting peeps of the same ilk. Kinda trims some of the ancillary fat. Now get thee to The Bone tonight. You never know what might happen.

Good luck.

Since they have the worst graphic ever, just go to First Move’s site for the info because it doesn’t show up too well below.

No Dumping Here

I saw this ad today in CraigsList -

Unceremoniously dumped? Dear John and Jane letters?

I am seeking real life stories and/or letters of how people have been dumped, ditched, discarded, jettisoned, you get the idea. Deadline is August 5, 2007, approximately 2000 words. This is research for a book on relationships. Please ask anyone you know; it does not have to be your story. Prefer humorous.

No big thing really but I forgot that my friend had dumped her pseudo-boyfriend via myspace. Ouch. Their status is muggy right now because he’s kinda stalky and she likes the sex but her letter was absolute brilliance and should be used as a template for all future break-ups…done by some sort of electronic communication.

I really wanted to do this in person. I hate to do this on myspace but
my time constraits have made impossible otherwise.

Your behavior in this relationship has been nothing short of
appalling. I take part responsiblity for not holding you accountable.
I’m too nice and I always give someone the benefit of the doubt. Your
incredible lack of sensitivity coupled with a complete and utter
disregard for my feelings was so disheartening. My tolerance has been
completely saturated.

I really enjoyed spending time with you and I liked you. We had fun. I
don’t fill my life shallow relationships. I really don’t have that
ability. I believe this relationship has run it course and to keep
going would be an exercise in futility. I know what I want and I don’t
believe in wasting time.

Dig deep and find your heart. Ultimately life is all about love.
Nobody should exist without it. I hope this gives you some insight in
your future relationships. I certainly learned from this experience.
No hard feelings. I wish you all the best.

Imagine receiving that in your inbox. Once again, ouch.
