Dress you up in Lollipop Love

I’m gonna shoot to go out to the Lollipop Shoppe’s Glitter Glamboree tonight over at Sloppyworld (a name I’ll comment on at a future time). I have to admit some reluctance to going because it’s all about glitter and glam and I’m the least flashiest person I know but TigerBee gave me some consolation saying that a glitter booth will be available so i can get dolled up even if I just have jeans and a button-up. Not my style which makes me want to go! Meet me there dangit and see my glitzy mug.

For one great party…

If you’re having a party and have lots of expendable cash, I totally recommend this. Fabulous fun! At least convince your boss to forgo your bonus and splurge for it at the office holiday party. Worth it.

I’d show you mine but….I won’t. You can find it though if you search hard. In fact, if you do and post it as a comment, I might just arrange a sort of prize for you.

State Faiir Photo of the Day

OK, so it’ s a crappy photo but I hope this kind of captures the reason of why everyone needs to ride the Skyway at night. Purely magical.

Yipes! Almost forgot!!

Happy 100th Birthday, Neiman Marcus! You’re a true legend around these parts. And thanks for sharing the celebration

My favorite memory will always be getting to meet the Fab Five when their show premiered and you brought them here. Best party of my life ever!

To a hundred years more.

Dude Looks Like a Lady

I thought it would be nice to add some important info to yestrday’s article Girls’ Night Out, say, like, when they are playing. She-Dick will be performing with DJ Select at The Melissa’s Deluxe Dance Revolution Party, Friday, July 13 (tonight) at The Cavern. Doors open at 9 p.m. with a $6 cover. You can get a preview on their myspace page. Band member Candi Shell forwarded me a couple of tracks for their upcoming release, She Dickulous due “sometime later this year.” Parental listening is advised. I’d add one here but these damn blog sites make it so hard to upload one for your listening pleasure.

Come to find out though, She Dick got all Destiny’s Child on us and had a band change as of last Saturday regarding Annie Rex, after deadline. Here’s the word via e-mail from Shell:

“Annie quit the band. She sprung it on us this past Saturday at our reading for the She Dick movie our friends Jase and Rick are writing. The boy life seems to be threatened by the girl life, so Annie had to make a life-changing decision. Fortunately, Princess Persia (alter ego of Mattamorphis) is rising to the challenge of making a Destiny’s Child-like switcheroo. I was worried at first, but now I’m thinking this change is going to boost She Dick to new heights. I’m sad to have her go, but now we have a big girl instead of an emaciated girl. I’d rather endorse big and beautiful than bulimic anyway.”

I’m thinking those last two lines might be my best quote of all time. Shell also informed us that they were just put on the lineup for the Cazwell, Richie Rich, James St. James show at minc, Saturday, July 21, following their show at Monkey Bar the day before according to She Dick’s calendar. So if you miss them tomorrow, you have the following week to check them out. They really must be seen to be believed.

Tandi Iman Dupree works it

I may have to give this the Best Drag Entrance Ever award. Being that it’s pretty amazing and yet still cringe-inducing makes it the lone frontrunner. If I’ve read everything correctly, this is the talent performance for Miss Black America in Atlanta back in 2001. Other than that, I don’t really care because the number itself high-kicks some a$$.

Enjoy. Thanks Scanner
