SEKTO watch out

i have such mixed feelings about graffiti. Some of it can be really snazzy and artsy and reflects a slice of the culture. But then taggers get on my nerves. I don’t quite get the compulsion to go spray paint my name everywhere. My initial remedy is to go to the taggers spots and paint “sucks” or “has a small one” under it but that probably perpetuates the matter. I hope we get to keep some of the good stuff up but the rest can go! And City Hall is hoping you’re going to help.

Austin City Limits plans?

That might depend on the bands and if you can figure them out from this mash-up then you can start making your plans. Gorilla v. Bear links us to Car Stereo (Wars) for the tip as well as revealing the potential Lollapalooza Lineup. However, both fests, I could probably care less about. Me outdoors in blazing heat just to listen to music is SO not my idea of fun. I’ll stick with my iTunes. Also, not TOO sure how reliable this is for a definitive hint to the lineup, but at the very least, the mix is SWEEET!

UPDATE:

OK, yeah, it’s legit. Just saw the official mention at ACL’s website.

The Official Jesse Garcia Watch 04-07

Argh. Right when I start my Official Jesse Garcia Watch (OJGW), the Dallas Voice goes for two weeks without him. His mug doesn’t bother me whatsoever but it was a nice reprieve. So I figured I’d just shut my mouth. That was until LAST WEEK’S issue when he made a comeback and in full frontal…oops, I mean full body. Maybe I’m just getting soft in my old age cuz I can’t knock his return too much. It’s actually a different photo of him. NONETHELESS! I stand by my OJGW.
