Submarine Channel hits Dallas
In this episode, they make a stop in Dallas exploring the Latino trend in the city and where elections could be headed. Good stuff.

So, why do I bring it up? I have one to add to the list and that would be Giulietta Masina in Federico Fellini’s Nights of Cabiria. The movie about a prostitute who really wants more than what life is offering is hilarious, heartbreaking and worth a look. Parts of it almost make you wonder if Pretty Woman was derived from this. It would seem so but this is so much a superior film (like that would be hard). Cabiria’s resolution is enigmatic in the vein of No Country for Old Men but getting there with her is like wanting the best for your sister/friend and going through the ups and downs right there with her. Damn, Fellini is genius in making you care about her and still having his avant-garde moments.
I highly recommend and really hope you get to watch it.
OK, moving on…
iTunes finally published my iMix of G.R.i.D. Picks of 2007 (2006 is here) so if you missed out on the free original (shhh) then download most of it here. I just wish ALL the songs would appear. Dunno quite know how their selections work…or don’t work. Enjoy!
And for you Cadbury Egg lovers (hand raised again), the Conan bit at the beginning of this package irked me more than anything. OK, that and the paper towels. Thankfully, or maybe not, the package introduced me to Mouseprint.org, a consumer watch blog that’s “exposing the strings and catches buried in fine print” and stuff like this which GMA points out. Of course, this will just add to my paranoia and distrust of the world around me. But at least I’ll be informed.

I’m pretty lazy, so don’t expect a lot of exhaustive information or research…
Seriously, it’s just a part of his charm. Welcome along, Blakety Blakes. Glad to have you in the cyber-hood.

MEET TANNER!!
Wel l we have named him Tanner but someone can change it. He has had all his shots and he is getting him neutered tomorrow morning. He’ll be all fixed up and ready to do. He is well behaved, haven’t heard him bark once. He does seem to not like big dogs though. I don’t know why but he get aggressive toward them. He is very playful and loving. He’s 18 lbs and full grown. He’s about 2 yrs old and doesn’t have any health problems. Had the vet check him out good.
I just want to find a good home for him. Someone that will love him and walk him and maybe hopefully have a yard for him to play in. He’s such a great dog. We got him last Sat and he was due to be put down this past Monday. Literally saved his life. He is such a sweet dog. He’s learned to use the doggy door and gets along with everybody and pretty much our 4 Jack Russells as well.
If you are interested, drop us a line! Tanner is living in Flower Mound with his foster family until he can find a new home.

Aww, Tanner. Sweet name and a cutes to boot. GET HIM!
You go, boy.
A chick is suing American Airlines for “involuntarily and unknowingly joining the mile high club” according to Scanner. She was on her way back here from L.A. only to find some extra hair product in her coif. Yipes but kinda funny.
DMN’s Metro Blog leads us to a list of Important Dallas Women here over the past 100 years which in turn was compiled and provided by the YWCA. Mary Suhm? Really? Hmmm.
It’s a little weird though that all of the names of our police force are online. I guess that’s easy to find out but still…
