Junius Heights Blog sounds a little high

First of all, I love the Junius Heights Neighborhood Blog. And despite the fact that I’m not officially in Junius Heights, since I live on the street of the same name, dagnabbit, I’m considering myself part of the J.H.

But I’m worried about their crime reports. Or rather reporting. The following statements have me a bit concerned:

10-29-2007

The three thieves were in a white 4-door sedan, Hispanic with the driver having a partially shaved head.

On Friday, October 26, two thin Hispanic women in their 20s were observed breaking into a house on Worth Street in the afternoon.

 10-20-2007

Three Hispanic males, aged 18-20 years old, were observed in the alley behind the 5400 block of Gaston on Saturday October 20, at 1:00 p.m. with a 25 inch flat TV.

09-23-2007

The man was disoriented, intoxicated, and probably high.

Now, I have no doubt these crimes happened. And whether these crimes were witnessed or reported to poster, joelmontfort, I don’t know but what I do know is his descriptions are by far the worst and most judgmental I’ve read in a while. If he’s getting these reports secondhand, then joelmontfort should be asking for more descriptive terms i.e. clothing, height and weight, scars or marks, license tags instead of just settling for races. Sounds like a budding Farmers Branch here in old East Dallas.

Oh and if you’re drunk, then you’re probably high too.

tsk tsk.

Art Director please!

OK, I love me some Sue Ellen’s. I really do. I think they have a good little thing going which I hear is about to be a bigger thing (more on that later) and it’s always a welcoming place with good music and one of the best air hockey tables in Dallas.

Having said that, could someone run over there and help them out with their art for shows? I saw this flyer and about fell out.

Now, I really don’t want to go into a diatribe of lesbians not having an eye for design but…well, I’ll just say this isn’t helping.

Ladies, I love ya but THAT is not gonna get me to come to your show. Well, ok, I’m not really a YaYa fan anyways but nonetheless, ya know what I’m sayin’.
