What I said about the Dumbest Contest Ever?

That award may now go to D Magazine. In an attempt to once again make everyone below a certain tax-bracket feel bad about themselves, their spin-off mag D Beauty launched D Beauty’s 10 Most Beautiful Women in Dallas. 20 women you probably don’t know, are up for the coveted title. And to insult the general public’s intelligence they pick women who have either had some hardship or do the whole public service bit or are single moms. But, only the pretty ones of course.

I guess she won’t win.

Mayor Said Knock You Out

Or rather, the mayor is going to knock you out. Fortunately not our diplomatic and sophisticated mayor. Eustace mayor, Laura Ward, obviously not on a re-election campaign, got all Million Dollar Baby last weekend in a Gun Barrel City bar on this chick…in front of police officers! Now that’s ballsy.

Police: Eustace Mayor Punches Woman, 5 Cops Witness Attack

Vote for me or you’ll get knocked the f*&% out

Mav Buckner clubs it up @ Opus

What? Does a new club open every week now? I can’t keep up.

Can’t say that Greg Buckner is one of my favorite Mavs but I’m quite curious about his bit this Saturday night. And with special guests a la NFL peeps and other NBA-ers. Wonder who all is gonna be there.

Dang TV Show

How does this Dancing with the Stars work? Here I was thinking Mark Cuban was gonna busta move last night and I find out it’s just chicks dancing. But The Mavericks were quick to point out that it’s tonight and are rallying around their owner to pump up some votes. I can’t believe I might actually call into a show to vote. Although, I must admit, I never did it for Emmitt. Oops. My bad, Mr. Smith. Good thing you won. Now, here’s to the Cube following in the same footsteps.

Come on Cube. Mavs GOTTA win something!

Dumbest Contest Ever…

…maybe but I’m sure there have been others. The Paul Frank Store over at West Village is looking for ninjas. Actually, I think Paul Frank in general but whatever. So for those of you closeted ninjas that also have the black pajama and mask attire in said closets, get yer vid cam out and make a video in which you will look astoundingly idiotic all for the gain of a bike and a hoodie. Because if people can pay attention to this guy*, then who knows what fame will have in store for you.

*not Jimmy Kimmel of course. Love him.
