Shout it Out Loud

Apparently, the new magazine Sports Out Loud will be in town this Saturday. You know them. Local sports teams are all abuzz about the new mag reposting everything they send out. They definitely tapped into a niche market.

Here’s their itinerary to check ‘em out. Gotta give them props being that they used the Dallas Diablos on the cover. Me? I just love that their abbreviation is S.O.L.

Business to Avoid

Dallas Screen Printing discriminates apparently according to the Dallas Voice. The owners of Bitch Pride Tees were wanting to get some fun t-shirts made that were all kind of cheeky lesbian stuff for the recent Lesbian Festival at Sue Ellen’s but the company co-owner Cheri Blair said no because it went against their beliefs. Or as the quote said, “It’s a Christian based company.” Which would obviously mean they equate the lesbians with Satan because I’m sure there is no doubt that these women might even be possibly Christian…right?

Let he without sin, Ms. Blair.

By the way, I’d like to smite my neighbor for going to work on Sunday, the holy day of rest. Can you print me up a shirt for that?

A smattering of images from Bitch Pride.

Stephan Pyles = Culinary Superman

I used to love watching Stephan Pyles’ cooking show on KERA. I knew I’d never make any of that stuff but it always looked so good and tasty. Plus it didn’t hurt that he’s cute as a button. Plus, he’s a good guy too all helping people out. If you can throw down $175, you can partake in his goodwill as well. Yeah, it’s a lot but maybe just think about it. You have some time and in the bigger scheme of all things good, it’s not that much. At least, just think about it.

Because over 12 million children in America face hunger…
