Firecracker Fun
Since Independence Day is in the middle of the week, most fireworks are probably happening this weekend. I was just listening to some outside. At least, I’m hoping that’s what that was and not gang warfare. I don’t live too far from some sketchy neighborhoods.
One of your best bets for tomorrow’s festivities will no doubt be the perpetually reliable show at Fair Park. Whether in the park or illegally pulled over on I-30, they put on a great show watchable from so many spots in the metroplex. What’s even better is they are making a day of it. Check this out. They are going to have free parking all day and museum admissions from 4 - 7. The Dallas Symphony will be on hand playing in sync with the fireworks on simulcast on 101.1. What’s better? They are even going to let you bring you bring your dogs in to partake in the festivities as well. As long as they are leashed of course. Just think about getting there early or even takind DART. Bar of Soap is getting in on the action as well. Which makes sense being that they are across the street. They’re whipping out the BBQ at 6pm and letting you stay to watch the works.
