Virtual Vacation
Hello all. I’m gonna take it easy this week. Prolly a post here and there but I haven’t taken a break here in a while and with two jobs going on at the moment, I’m all that more lazy when I hit the computer.
Smooches!
Hello all. I’m gonna take it easy this week. Prolly a post here and there but I haven’t taken a break here in a while and with two jobs going on at the moment, I’m all that more lazy when I hit the computer.
Smooches!
I figure this being GRiD’s birthday and all, there’d be no better time for a greatest hits volume one. Plus, I’m fairly uninspired today to dole out the original stuff. Maybe after a nap. Oh, and work. -
No idea of where to go with this very first posting.
My first crush of the week with the now-disastrous moniker.
I still vent supreme frustration over these horrible ads although I don’t see the Kiwi ones anymore. Prayers answered?
My rant against Lesley Tellez mostly cause she’s my counterpart at Belo (DMN & Quick) but her last few columns have been fairly good and she definitely gets the invites to the clubs before I do. D@mmit. But she seems to have come into her own moreso in the past few months.
My first giveaway…and nobody responded.
I live blogged the Golden Globes but felt a little better about the Oscars.
Most of my love affair with the Mavericks was displayed here. And the rest…well, I plead the fifth.
Things I will never stop laughing at. Never. Ever. Yeah.
OK, I’m tired and should be working. Thanks again!
It’s been a celebratory weekend for the blog. Contributor and friend Nima finally entered the world of alcohol and adulthood by turning 21. It’s been a long year in the waiting and now all of us are planning to get the innocent (yet devious) chick hammered at the sleaziest bars in town. And then take pics for myspace.
On top of that, this here little blog turns one year-old today. I can’t even believe it myself. Thanks for those who read and comment and even more thanks to those who run me off the road and let me take pictures of them for a post. You all are the best.
Truly.

I’m so relieved to be off the hook and can now blame those closest to me. Saboteurs I say! And here I was feeling guilty thinking I was doing it to myself. Thank you science.
I thought this was curious the other day on Junius Street. This empty grassy lot inbetwixt an old pink house and big yellow complex may be the new designated rest stop for the USPS. With all the recent humid heat, I guess these guys and gals need a place too cool off. Although, in the middle of the sun doesn’t seem quite the place. I’m sure there are covered areas around town or hey, mail people, how about going indoors? There’s this thing called air conditioning…
Hehe…oops, ok, don’t go postal on me.

After spending 20 minutes in a drive thru a while ago among other things that are irksome, I’ve decided to create GRiD’s first Worst in Dallas post. Call it G.R.i.D.’s W.i.D. I figure with my place starting to work on its Best issue and D’s Best in Dallas issue just coming out, it’s time to show the other side of deez parts. Yeah, maybe I’m drinking some Haterade but argh…’I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!’.
Besides, it totally caters to my passive-aggression. Stay tuned.

If it wasn’t for the dang part time job I decided to take on, I’d be able to have more time for things like this. Now I’m all rueing the day. Oh well, at least it’s temporary but I hope you will go and tell me all about it.
People out in Fort Worth are planning a meeting to impeach the president. Wow. They must be pissed but I think lots of people are. Anyways, not taking sides here, just letting you know in case you are feeling the same. Besides, I don’t want to be investigated by the CIA and FBI. Yipes!
