Static Cling

For the throngs of you who had tickets to tonight’s Static-X show at the Palladium, you might want to rethink your calendar. I just got notice that the show has been canceled. However, you have probably already made your way out there and well, this post is probably for naught. Apparently, the show is nixed due to “unforeseen circumstances.” I just wonder what those could be? Did Mr. Static break a nail? Run out of mascara? Either way, to get your scratch back “refunds through ticketmaster will be available at all points of purchase starting tomorrow at 10:00am. Visit ticketmaster.com or call 214-373-8000 for ticket information. Go to www.palladiumballroom.com for more details.”

In other concert switcheroo news, Fall Out Boy’s show at Smirnoff is being postponed due to personal problems, which sounds even more interesting than unforeseen circumstances. According to their blog:

“Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, we are planning on this being the biggest and best Fall Out Boy show that we could possibly have. Unfortunately, because of some personal issues we had to delay the tour a few weeks. We want to put on the best possible show we can and know that this extra couple of weeks will give us the time to put ourselves in the right place to put on the best show we can. The shows from the earlier part of the tour will be rescheduled to the end but all tickets will be honored for all moved shows. Again we apologize. Our fans really mean the world to us and I promise the wait will be well worth it.” - Pete Wentz

This concert has been rescheduled from April 24 to June 19. Tickets for the first show will be honored, though refunds for those tickets are available at points of purchase. Just call Ticketmaster or visit their site for details. Fortunately, the lineup of +44, The Academy Is …, Paul Wall and Cobra Starship remains the same. And I only say fortunately because I’ve just discovered +44 and loooove them.

+ 44. Kinda scary looking but sound great.
