Speaking of Deep Ellum…
I’ll be out there tonight. But if you don’t hear from me on Sunday, send a search party out. This is SO not my scene…but I am curious. But DJ Byron Laszlo was super cool about inviting me. So who can resist that?

In an admirable attempt to work toward keeping Deep Ellum alive and breathing, The Fine Line is hosting an open forum interview with mayoral candidate Zac Crain and an esteemed panel of local artists and concerned citizens. Although it’s more about why Zac Crain could/should be the city’s next mayor, I believe the inevitable topic of the state of affairs in Deep Ellum will be quite present.
Applause to TFL’s Cindy Chaffin for putting this together. She’s a big time Crainiac but she’s using her powers for good to inform the denizens of Dallas about their city and remind them the power of voting. And Mr. Crain will probably have a lot of questions about this. I assume anyways. So go there, be concerned, be a good citizen…and order a burger. i hear they’re good.

What the heck is this?? Other than maybe being the ugliest lamp on earth, it apparently has all these healing therapeutic qualities. Oh geez…I would just be worried that an alien is going to pop out and latch onto my face. This place in general is a schizophrenic disaster - it’s a bar, it’s a restaurant, it’s a furniture shop. Oy…it’s just a mess! Jesus, isn’t there a Spanglish term for this kinda junk?
