G.R.i.D. (Get Rich in Dallas)

You know Valentines Day is around the corner when the Bath House Cultural Center opens their annual El Corazon art exhibition. Saturday’s opening reception marked the 13th year that Jose Vargas, Gallery Assistant at The Ice House Cultural Center, has curated this Dallas annual event. El Corazon show with over 40 artists from Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin and Waco area. Show runs through February 27, 2007. Local musician Jevette hs been in the scene for a few years but she seems to be catching a great stride recently with several performances around town and a regular gig over at Pearl @ Commerce. I had the pleasure of seeing her at Cafe Brazil where her funky folk overtook my turkey breakfast tacos. Plus, I also happen to know her from school. She’s a great spirit.

I just received the Jevette Band February calendar of dates and it looks like you’ll have several opportunities to check her out. I highly recommend!
