Two Things - First, Beyonce is Crazy
Hey, I love me some Beyonce but when I read this article about her other persona, Sasha, I though “cuckoo”. Don’t give me this tranformation onstage bit. There’s no doubt she’s a huge talent but I think she’s starting to get diva on us all. Maybe she already has but at least she covered it well. Now, she’s getting Diana Ross diva and that’s a scary thing. First, allegedly fighting with costar Jennifer Hudson (although this sounds more fun) and now admitting to her other persona. Two words - Anne Heche.
Second, I just watched About A Boy and started thinking, that is actually a great movie. It will never go down in the annals of great cinematic masterpieces but it can’t be denied that the movie is well written, perfectly cast and all in all a movie that is constructed ideally with a perfect arc. Plus, it’s endearing. So then I started thinking about other movies like that. I know there are tons but off the top of my head, great movies that won’t go down as great on my immediate list include Pleasantville, Spider Man 2, Lady Sings the Blues, Amelie. Trust me, I have many more but those struck me first. What are yours?
Re the trilogy blog from a while ago - did anyone ever mention the Back to the Future trilogy? Can’t recall. And would Austin Powers and Mission Impossible be considered trilogies??
