Raining on my Parade…literally!
For lack of any better terms, today’s parade sucked! It started raining on our way out there. We parked at my office which was about five blocks away. Found a decent spot and then spent the whole time standing under umbrellas. My shirt was soaked and I hate that!
We ventured down to Lee Park for the rally and I swear, it began raining more. I was miserable and hungry.
The only redeeming part of it all was getting to talk to one of my local heroes for a bit. Oh, and then my Whataburger dinner. Deee-licious.
But overall, I wasn’t feeling very proud today. Just all wet.
Gotta few pics to your right in the gallery.
What made the day better was me deciding to give myself a birthday gift. Which is another term for indulgence. Tower Records is having the best sale with 1000s of dvd’s and cd’s for $9.99. Are they outta their minds? Not only that, Warner Bros. DVD box sets were 20% off. I wish I hadn’t seen that but I felt deserving enough to buy myself the Joan Crawford Collection. Before you laugh, check out some of her flicks. The broad was awesome. Campy but awesome. And then I bought the Crying Game Collector’s Edition.
Nothing like material possessions to make you feel better. -kidding.
