Your plans for Sunday Afternoon
I dare you to go. It’s fun!
I dare you to go. It’s fun!
Man oh man! With such an awesome week last time, this week gave me very little options. I had to dig deep in my weekly activities because the majority of my time was spent at the office this week. How can I go from two jobs to one and seem to be busier than ever?? I guess it’s a good thing since I’m trying something new.
Since I already had gotten my clubs in for this period, I didn’t venture out much this weekend. Although I did have a nice dinner at the Exposition Park Cafe. You guys have GOT to check out their stuffed cheeseburgers and their chicken and waffles. Just not together. But EPC didn’t help me with today’s issue. Nor did any of my outings throughout the week. No bands. No movie. Seriously, I dug deep.
After much thought, I decided to award my first tie.
My first SDGM of the week goes to Mark DeCarlo from the Travel Channel’s Taste of America. I’d seen commercials of this show and thought he seemed so obnoxious and annoying. But in a sleepy haze, I left the Travel Channel on and there he was. Even though he is a bit obnoxious, he’s also really charming. And come to think of it, this guy kinda has it all. Great sense of humor, killer Italian good looks (with a goofy smile), a beefy build and a great job! Man, what I wouldn’t do to go around the US and discover foods the way he does. The show is great and he won me over. If only I could find a decent pic of him.

But check the show out.
So my second SDGM is mostly obligatory. He’s so not my type but he had a big week. A new cd, Good Morning America appearance, all over MTV, so I felt it necessary to go ahead and hand it to Mr. Justin Timberlake.
What I do like about him is his music career. Obviously he broke away from the N’Sync image but he’s really come into his own and this new cd has some good stuff on it. Yeah, it’s pop with the hip hop/rap thing in there but I have to respect the fact that he’s trying some new sounds on his music. That usually draws me to an artist. Plus, he didn’t come out with album after album. He took his time and that sort of makes me trust his music. So much so I bought the cd w/o hearing SexyBack. But you don’t worry, I got it here for ya. And it helps that he’s dressing a little snazzier nowadays.

And those are this week’s Seven Day G-Men!
Cross your fingers for a better week next week!
